Expenses for a biogas plant
Expenses relate essentially to costs of:Operation and maintenance:
- Labour - approximately 1 hour/day for an installation of 30 kWe (102,360 Btu) in Co-digestion:
- Reception of waste, handling, control
- Management of the equipment and energy
- Administrative management
Consumption
- Electricity for the operation of the pumps, brewers, injectors (10% of produced electricity)
- Dual engine fuel - 5% of the production of biogas
Maintenance
- Installation: 2% of the investment
Cogeneration of biogas
- The costs are proportional to the number of operating hours of the engine - 1,5 C €/electric kW
